Report abuse
Last updated: 25 October 2026.
How to report
Email abuse@ghostrack.io to report abuse from an instance on Gigahost, such as port scans, spam, attacks or illegal content. Anyone can report, with an account or without. The Acceptable Use Policy says what is not allowed.
What to include
- The IP address, or the instance, the abuse came from.
- When it happened, with the time zone, and for a shared address the port.
- What happened.
- Evidence, such as log lines or the full headers of a spam email.
- Your name and email address, so we can tell you the outcome.
Reporting illegal content
A notice of illegal content also needs:
- why you consider the content illegal;
- where exactly it is: its URL, or the address and port it is served from;
- a statement that you make the notice in good faith and that what it says is accurate and complete.
What happens next
We confirm that we received your report, look into it without undue delay, act where it shows a breach, and tell you the outcome. We find the instance an address belonged to at the time from the platform's records of which instance held which address and port when, which the Privacy Policy describes.
If your instance is reported
If we restrict your instance or account because of a report, we tell you what we did and why. You can contest it by writing to legal@ghostrack.io, and we review it and answer you.
